
Frida is almost ready for departure in the dogmusing race called "Femundløpet". The next four days she will compete against far more experienced mushers.
Frida has been in rehabilitation at Frankmotunet in Folldal for about six months. In that time she has learned the art of dog racing, called mushing. She is now participating in her first dog sledge race ever, Femundløpet in Røros, Norway.


The dogs are anxious to get going.

Even though there is no light large parts of the trail, the moonlight helps the navigation.


With only a few hours rest in a small, crowded cabin, Frida has to continue her journey over the snowcovered mountains. The temperatures at chechpoint Orkelbogen can reach as low as - 40ºC. This day it was only about - 20ºC.


One of the dogs was to tired to continue and had to be removed. With only seven dogs left Frida now has a disadvantage but is determined to finish.
